About WindSpace

Header about us

WindSpace is an onshore wind energy development company based in Denmark with active operations in Sweden and Poland. The Company develops and provides construction and operation management services to wind farms.

Be part of the upside of the project development phase

When you invest in a WindSpace project, we incorporate your requirements and needs into our project development from A to Z. One among only few companies, we offer investment in all project phases including planning and construction. This is our way to secure you a larger part of the value increment and a better return.

Attractive investment in wind park projects

Our current projects are based in Poland and Sweden. We conduct ongoing inquiries into new markets to further develop our pipeline of lucrative wind power projects.

Markets

Next generation markets

To ensure long-term scalability and to minimise risk, we are strategically focused on developing Poland and Sweden as our key markets. In both markets we have discovered low penetration, well-defined legal and regulatory systems and a broad range of qualified, dedicated and experienced partners.

In mature wind energy markets, a significant proportion of electricity consumption is already being generated by wind turbines. This limits future expansion and reduces overall return on investments compared to markets where penetration is lower.

Sweden

Sweden is a highly developed country with one of the most ambitious renewable energy plans in the world and wind is a central delivery resource in this plan. The Swedish government has implemented a target to increase renewable generation by 30 TWh by 2020 versus 2002 levels, creating a target of 80 TWh per annum by 2020 relative to current renewables generation of 71 TWh (2014). The difference is roughly equivalent to 3,700 MW of operating wind capacity.

Recent statements by the Swedish Energy Commission, indicate that a new and longer term energy policy is being developed. In particular, an extension of the 2020 target is being implemented by adding a further 18 TWh of new green certificates by 2030. In addition, it has been stated that the government is intending to target a 100% renewable electricity generating system by 2040.Final policy proposals are expected by January 2017.

This, combined with Sweden’s well-developed infrastructure and efficient government and legal practices, represents a major opportunity for many years ahead.

Poland

In order to promote the development of wind parks, the Polish government has implemented a favourable regime which combines green certificates with statutory obligations to ensure energy companies producing 13% of total electricity output through renewable energy.

The target is 19% renewable energy consumption by 2020. By 2015, 5.500 MW wind energy has been installed. During 2015 and 2016, the Government is elaborating on a new energy law to implement an auction-based system based on EU guidelines.

Other markets

We continuously evaluate the opportunities of wind park development in new markets. Growth opportunities, appropriate support systems for renewable energy and, most importantly, experienced and competent local partners are key requirements before entering a new market.

We do not offer any project in new countries until we know the legal system, have obtained market-specific knowledge and investigated our partners thoroughly. We continuously evaluate the opportunities of wind park development in new markets.
